BEL Member Recruitment 2026 Overview

BEL is recruiting permanent executives for the post of Member (Research Staff) in E-III grade for its Central Research Laboratories located at Bengaluru and Ghaziabad. The advertisement has been issued by Central Research Laboratory, Ghaziabad.

This recruitment is aimed at experienced research professionals with domain-specific expertise and industrial background. The role is not a trainee or fixed-term post. It is a permanent executive position under BEL.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have a PhD degree awarded or provisional degree awarded in one of the notified domains from a recognized university or college. The post also requires at least four years of post-qualification industrial experience.

The experience must be relevant to the domain and should be supported by proper documents. BEL has clearly stated that teaching, academic, and research work will not be treated as relevant industrial experience for this recruitment. Internships that are part of academic curriculum are also not counted as experience.

Prior experience as trainees, fixed-tenure staff, or contractual personnel in BEL or other PSUs will not be considered as relevant experience for this post.

Age Limit and Relaxation

The upper age limit for General category candidates is 37 years as on 01 January 2026.

• OBC (NCL): 3 years relaxation
• SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
• PwBD: 10 years relaxation over and above the category relaxation, as per government guidelines

Reserved category candidates should ensure that they attach the prescribed certificates in the correct format. OBC (NCL) candidates are required to produce a certificate issued on or after 01 April 2025.

Pay Scale and Benefits

The pay scale for Member (Research Staff) in E-III grade is Rs. 50,000-3%-1,60,000 plus admissible allowances.

The advertisement also states that selected candidates will be granted 5 advance increments and 2 years of seniority will be added at the entry level. In addition to basic pay, BEL has listed Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, 35% of basic pay as perquisites, Performance Related Pay, medical reimbursement, provident fund, gratuity, superannuation pension and group insurance as part of the pay package as per company rules.

Selection Process

The selection process consists of a written test followed by interview.

• Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be called for the written test.
• Based on written test scores, candidates will be shortlisted for interview in the order of merit and category in the ratio of 1:7.
• The shortlist for written test and interview will be published on the BEL website.
• Call letters will be sent through e-mail only.
• Final results will also be published on the BEL website.

All outstation applicants except those from the NCR region who are called for interview will be reimbursed actual to-and-fro travel expenses by the shortest route, subject to II class fare and production of proof.

4. Pay the application fee through SBI Collect, if applicable, and attach the receipt.
5. Send the completed application by post to Deputy General Manager (HR&A/CRL), Central Research Laboratory, Bharat Electronics Limited, Site IV, Industrial Area, Sahibabad, Ghaziabad 201010, Uttar Pradesh.

BEL has clearly stated that application by hand will not be accepted. Candidates should also use a valid e-mail ID because all future communication is to be sent by e-mail.

Application Fee

The fee is non-refundable and has to be paid through SBI Collect. BEL has allowed payment through online mode or through an SBI branch using the prescribed process. Candidates should attach the fee receipt with the application form.

Documents Required and Key Instructions

The advertisement asks candidates to attach self-attested copies of relevant documents along with the application form. These include proof of date of birth, academic marksheets and degree certificates, PhD degree certificate, caste or disability certificate if applicable, experience certificates, and application fee receipt.
