C-DOT Recruitment 2026 overview

The current C-DOT recruitment cycle brings together three official openings under one broader hiring window: Consultant - Vigilance, Scientist B/C in Post-Quantum Cryptography, and Scientist B/C in Information Security. The scientist positions are on direct recruitment basis, while the consultant post is contractual.

The official current openings page shows online applications opening on 04 April 2026 and closing on 03 May 2026 at 5:00 PM. The experience requirement stated for the InfoSec roles is between 2 and 7 years, depending on the role profile and relevant work background.

For Consultant - Vigilance, the applicant must have retired from Central or State Government, PSU, semi-government, autonomous or statutory organizations with substantive pay in Level 8, 9 or 10 of the Pay Matrix at the time of retirement, and must have at least 2 years of experience in handling vigilance cases.

Age limit and relaxation

The maximum age for the Scientist B/C posts is 35 years as on the last date of application. The scientist advertisements also state that candidates from reserved categories such as SC, ST, OBC (non-creamy layer), PwBD, Ex-servicemen and EWS are eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India norms, subject to valid certificates.

For Consultant - Vigilance, the notice says the applicant should not have attained 63 years of age as on the closing date of online applications. It also states that the applicant should be in good health and fit for official duties, duly certified by a competent medical practitioner.

Selection process

The official notices describe the selection process as a two-level interview process. The first level is to be conducted online, and the second level is to be offline or in person.
