Educational Qualification and Basic Eligibility

Selection Process, CBT Pattern and Negative Marking

The selection exam will be objective in nature and will be conducted as a Computer Based Test. As per the brochure, 80 percent of the questions will relate to the theoretical knowledge of the core subject and 20 percent will cover general awareness.

The CBT duration will be 120 minutes. The test will be divided into 4 sections, and candidates can move to the next section only after completing the current one. Once a section is completed, they cannot go back to earlier sections.

There is negative marking in the CBT. For each wrong answer, one-fourth of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted. Unanswered questions will not attract negative marking.

The notification also states that the examining body will prepare the merit list in order of marks obtained. In the event of a tie, factors such as age, number of wrong answers, marks in the main subject section, and application number are used in the order described in the brochure.
