• Assistant Engineer (Civil) with 7 years of experience in civil works in Pay Level-7; or
• Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) or equivalent in Pay Level-10 with 4 years of regular service in the grade.

This post is therefore meant for serving officers with relevant engineering and civil works experience, not for fresh degree holders.

Assistant Director (Official Language) Eligibility

For Assistant Director (Official Language), the notification specifically refers to officers from the Central Government, State Governments or Union Territories. The service requirement and the academic requirement both have to be checked carefully.

• Service condition: Holding an analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or having 3 years of regular service in Pay Level-7.
• Educational condition: Master's degree in Hindi with English as compulsory or elective subject or as medium at degree level; or Master's degree in English with Hindi as compulsory or elective subject or as medium at degree level; or equivalent combinations involving Hindi and English as subjects or medium at degree level as detailed in the notification.
• Experience condition: 3 years of terminology or translation work in Hindi and English, preferably involving technical or scientific literature; or 3 years of teaching or research in Hindi or English in government, autonomous body, statutory organisation, PSU, university, or recognized research or educational institution.

This post is more specialized than a routine language vacancy because the notice asks for a postgraduate language background along with relevant translation, terminology, teaching, or research experience.

Age Limit and Deputation Tenure

The maximum age of applicants for deputation should be below 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications. Candidates who cross this limit on the closing date are not covered by the notice.

The notification also states the following conditions for deputation tenure:
