UKPSC Exam Calendar 2026 is the official annual schedule released by the Uttarakhand Public Service Commission for multiple examinations proposed during 2026. The current PDF is published as an updated Exam Calendar 2026-27 dated 17 April 2026, and it lists the proposed examination dates available in the released document from April to December 2026.

For candidates, this calendar is most useful as a planning tool. It helps you see which recruitment stages are scheduled first, how closely different exams fall together, and where subject-wise lecturer examinations are placed across the year. It does not replace the individual recruitment notification, syllabus notice, exam city details, or admit card.

One practical point is that several entries in the calendar are tied to recruitment cycles named 2023, 2024, or 2025 even though the exams are scheduled in 2026. That is normal for UKPSC calendars because the recruitment year and the actual examination date do not always fall in the same calendar year.

What the latest UKPSC Exam Calendar 2026 says

UKPSC has placed the updated Exam Calendar 2026-27 on its official website with publication date 17 April 2026. The released PDF lists proposed examination dates for 22 schedule entries, including mains examinations, screening tests, typing or computer knowledge stages, subject-wise lecturer papers, and two reserved dates.

In the current document, the first scheduled examination is the Uttarakhand Judicial Service Civil Judge (Junior Division) Exam-2023 mains from 21 to 24 April 2026. The final listed date in the released pages is 6 December 2026 for the Rajkiya Inter College Lecturer Exam-2025 in Art.

Lecturer Rajkiya Inter College 2025 subject-wise schedule

A large part of the 2026 calendar is occupied by the Pravakta Rajkiya Inter College Exam-2025 under the Secondary Education Department. UKPSC has split this exam into separate subject-wise dates.

Home Science29 November 2026
Art6 December 2026

Each of these lecturer entries is shown in the calendar as a main examination of objective type.

Civil Judge and Combined State Civil mains dates

The calendar places two major mains examinations right at the start of the schedule. The Uttarakhand Judicial Service Civil Judge (Junior Division) Exam-2023 mains is scheduled from 21 to 24 April 2026. Immediately after that, the Uttarakhand Combined State Civil or Upper Subordinate Services Examination-2025 mains is scheduled from 27 to 30 April 2026.

If you are preparing for either of these, the calendar gives you a broad planning window, but you still need the separate admit card and exam instruction notices for paper timings, centres, reporting rules, and allowed documents.

Review Officer Accounts and High Court examination dates

UKPSC has also scheduled the Review Officer (Accounts) and Assistant Review Officer (Accounts) Examination-2024 on 19 May 2026. The stage mentioned in the calendar is the typing and computer knowledge test.

Another important entry is the High Court of Uttarakhand Section Officer or Typist or Librarian or Translator Examination-2025 on 19 July 2026. In the calendar, this is shown as a screening examination. Candidates for these posts should not assume that this date alone is sufficient; exam-specific notices may add instructions, admit card dates, and stage details separately.

Why some entries say 2023, 2024, or 2025 even though the exam is in 2026

This often confuses candidates. In UKPSC calendars, the year attached to the examination name usually refers to the recruitment cycle, advertisement batch, or examination title, while the actual examination stage may be held later.

That is why the same 2026 calendar includes entries such as Civil Judge Exam-2023, Review Officer Accounts Exam-2024, Combined State Civil or Upper Subordinate Services Examination-2025, and Lecturer Exam-2025. The calendar is showing when those stages are proposed to be conducted, not renaming the recruitment cycle itself.

Reserved dates in the UKPSC calendar

The updated calendar includes two entries marked as reserved dates: 6 September 2026 and 4 October 2026. UKPSC has not attached a specific examination name to these two slots in the released PDF.

Reserved dates can be useful when the commission needs scheduling flexibility for adjustments, pending examinations, or shifts caused by administrative reasons. Candidates should treat them as placeholders rather than confirmed exam dates for any one recruitment unless UKPSC later issues a separate notice.

Are the dates final or can UKPSC change them

No. The note at the bottom of the official PDF makes it clear that the listed dates are tentative and examination dates may be changed. That means candidates should use the calendar for preparation planning, but should not make irreversible travel or other commitments solely on the basis of this schedule.

The practical rule is simple: the calendar tells you what UKPSC currently proposes, while the exam-specific notification, instruction notice, and admit card tell you what is finally applicable to your stage.

How to download the UKPSC Exam Calendar 2026 PDF

  1. Go to the official UKPSC website.
  2. Open the Exam Calendar section.
  3. Look for the entry titled Exam Calendar -2026-27 (Updated) dated 17 April 2026.
  4. Open the PDF and save it for reference.

You can use these official pages: UKPSC home page, Exam Calendar section, and the direct calendar PDF.

What the exam calendar does not tell you

The calendar does not provide full eligibility, syllabus, fee details, paper pattern, reporting time, exam city, centre allotment, or category-wise vacancy information. It also does not work as an admit card.

That information is usually released through the original recruitment notice and later stage-wise notices such as admit card announcements, edit windows, instructions for scribes, answer keys, or results. On the UKPSC website, these updates appear under separate sections like Recruitment Notifications, Admit Card, Answer Key, and Results.

How candidates should use the UKPSC calendar properly

Use the calendar to build a preparation timeline, identify close exam clusters, and track which stage is coming first. If your exam is one of the lecturer subjects, note your subject date separately instead of relying on a general calendar reminder.

It is also a good idea to keep checking the official website weekly, and more frequently when your scheduled month gets closer. Once UKPSC releases the admit card or a stage-specific notice, always follow that latest document over the general calendar entry.
