Recruitment Overview

Eligibility and Minimum Qualification

The essential qualification is a postgraduate medical degree such as MD, MS, DNB, M.Ch., D.M. or equivalent in the concerned specialty, recognized by MCI, along with registration either with the Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council.

The notice applies the Central Residency Scheme qualification standards to these posts. Candidates who have already completed three years of tenure as Senior Resident are not eligible for the post of Senior Resident.

Pay Scale, Tenure and Application Fee

The notified pay for Senior Residents, CMO, Resident Anaesthetist and Resident Pathologist holding the required postgraduate degree is Rs. 67,700, which is the minimum pay of Level-11, plus NPA at 20 percent as per the Central Government Services pay rules mentioned in the notice.

The tenure of the posts is six months. The notice says it may be extended as per requirement or until the regular incumbent joins through regular selection.

4. Carry the required application fee for on-the-spot deposit at GMCH.
5. Reach Establishment Branch-II, Block-D, GMCH-32, Chandigarh before 11:00 AM on 20 April 2026 to submit the application.
6. Remain available for the interview at 2:00 PM in the office of the Director Principal, Room No. 210, Level-2, Block-D.

Because the entire process is same-day based, candidates should not assume that reporting after the application receipt deadline will be accepted.
