Eligibility and Educational Qualification
The educational qualification is post-specific. Candidates should not assume that one qualification applies to all 2,085 posts.

- Manager and Junior Manager in District Co-operative Banks generally require a bachelor's degree in Commerce or a bachelor's degree with Economics, Mathematics or Statistics with 55 percent marks, or certain professional and management qualifications such as B.Tech, BCA, MCA, BBA, MBA or equivalent as specified, along with required computer qualification.
- Assistant or Cashier posts in district cooperative banks and U.P. Co-operative Bank generally require a graduate degree with required percentage and CCC or equivalent computer qualification.
- Assistant Manager (Computer) requires B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science or Electronics and Communication, or BCA with the required marks.
- Assistant Manager (General) in U.P. Co-operative Bank requires postgraduate or equivalent higher qualification in relevant subjects such as Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Banking, Finance or Chartered Accountancy, along with computer qualification.
- Accountant and Assistant Accountant posts generally require B.Com, Commerce degree or accountancy-related qualification with required computer certification.
- Stenographer, Assistant or Typist and Junior Assistant posts generally require graduation along with prescribed Hindi and English typing or shorthand speed and CCC, O Level or equivalent certificate.
- Junior Engineer posts allow diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering depending on the post.
- Assistant Engineer posts require bachelor's degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering as applicable.
For the overall recruitment, the minimum qualification among the advertised posts starts from diploma in the relevant engineering stream for certain junior engineer posts, while many banking and clerical posts require graduation.
Age Limit and Relaxation
Candidates must have completed 21 years of age and must not be more than 40 years of age as on 1 January 2026. In other words, the candidate should not have been born before 1 January 1986 and not later than 1 January 2005.
The notification also states that the maximum age limit for eligible Divyangjan candidates is 55 years.
Age relaxation is available as per the rules mentioned in the advertisement. Broadly, the notification provides 5 years of relaxation in the upper age limit for eligible Uttar Pradesh reserved categories and certain other eligible groups named in the advertisement, while eligible Divyangjan candidates of Uttar Pradesh get 15 years of relaxation. Ex-servicemen rules also apply as per the notification.
Candidates who are not natives of Uttar Pradesh cannot claim the benefit of reservation or age relaxation meant for Uttar Pradesh categories.

The fee is for one stage of the examination and has to be paid online. Bank transaction charges, if any, are to be borne by the candidate. EWS candidates have to pay the fee prescribed for the unreserved category.
Selection Process and Exam Pattern
The board has provided a multi-stage selection system. Depending on the post, the process may include:
- Preliminary Examination if required
- Main Examination
- Interview for Class 1 and Class 2 posts
- Proficiency Test for Class 3 posts where a compulsory skill qualification applies
For the preliminary examination, the paper will carry 100 questions for 100 marks with a duration of 90 minutes. The sections are Numerical Ability or Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability or Mental Ability, Hindi Language and General English or English Language, and Cooperative. Negative marking of one-fourth applies for each wrong answer.
The main examination will carry 120 questions for 200 marks with a duration of 120 minutes. The pattern varies by post group. For managerial and technical posts, the paper includes Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Cooperative, Language and a subject paper. For clerical and assistant-type posts, the paper includes Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Computer Language, Language, General Awareness and Cooperative.
The minimum efficiency standard in the main examination is 35 percent for SC and ST candidates and 40 percent for other categories. Candidates below the prescribed standard are not included in the merit list.
The board has also stated that up to 15 times the number of vacancies may be shortlisted from preliminary to main examination, up to 3 times the number of posts may be called for interview where required, and up to 5 times the number of posts may be called for proficiency test where required.

Documents, Admit Card and Important Instructions
Before applying, candidates should keep ready a valid personal email ID and mobile number, scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration. The handwritten declaration has to be in the candidate's own handwriting in English.
