BITSAT Session 2 2026 Important Dates

The Session 2 schedule below is the active timeline students should follow for the current registration window. BITS has also stated that dates may change if required, so candidates should keep checking the official portal regularly.

Students should not wait for the last day. The application closes at a fixed time, and Session 2 is followed quickly by correction, city allotment, slot booking, and hall ticket release.

Who Should Use the Session 2 Registration Window

The Session 2 window is not only for first-time applicants. It is also meant for candidates who want to add a second attempt or complete the process they missed earlier.

• Fresh candidates who did not register for BITSAT earlier can apply now.
• Candidates who had applied only for Session 1 can log in using their existing application number and password and add Session 2.
• Candidates who had already selected both sessions do not need to register again for Session 2.
• Candidates who missed or could not attend Session 1 can still apply for Session 2 during this window, subject to the rules above.

If you appear in both sessions, BITS considers the higher of the two scores for admission to the First Degree programmes.

BITSAT Session 2 2026 Eligibility Criteria

For B.E. programmes other than B.E. Environmental and Sustainability Engineering, and for M.Sc. programmes, a candidate must have passed Class 12 under the 10+2 system or equivalent from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, one language, and one additional subject. The candidate must secure at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, and at least 60% marks individually in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

For B.Pharm. and B.E. Environmental and Sustainability Engineering, the qualifying subjects can be Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Mathematics, one language, and one additional subject. Here too, the candidate must secure at least 75% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Mathematics, and at least 60% marks individually in the required subjects. Both theory and practical components are counted while calculating percentage.

• Students appearing for Class 12 in 2026 are eligible.
• Students who passed Class 12 in 2025 are also eligible, subject to the official rules.
• Students who passed in 2024 or earlier are not eligible for BITSAT 2026.
• Results should be available by the submission deadline mentioned by BITS for admissions later in the cycle.
• PCB candidates can appear in BITSAT, but they are eligible only for B.Pharm. and B.E. Environmental and Sustainability Engineering.
• PCM candidates are eligible for B.E. programmes, M.Sc. programmes, and B.Pharm.

Students currently studying at BITS at any campus are not eligible to apply for BITSAT 2026.

Programmes and Campuses Covered Through BITSAT

BITSAT is the entrance route for admission to BITS Pilani's Integrated First Degree programmes for the 2026-27 academic year. The Indian campuses covered are Pilani, Goa, and Hyderabad.

In addition to regular First Degree admissions, the BITSAT score can also be used to apply for selected 2+2 collaborative programmes announced by BITS Pilani. Candidates should still verify the specific programme-level conditions before final submission of admission preferences.

BITSAT Session 2 2026 Application Fee

The Session 2 fee depends on whether you are a fresh applicant or you had already applied for Session 1. The fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Fee payment can be completed online through PayU Money, PayTM, or Razorpay. If a candidate had earlier applied for Dubai and is now applying for India or Nepal, the India and Nepal fee rules apply as per the official instructions.

How to Apply Online for BITSAT Session 2 2026

You should use the official BITS admissions portal for the application. The safest route is to start from the BITS admissions website and then move to the Session 2 application link.

1. Open the official BITS admissions portal.
2. If you are a fresh candidate, register using your email ID and mobile number.
3. If you had applied only for Session 1, log in with your existing application number and password.
4. Fill your personal details, academic details, and test city preferences carefully.
5. Upload the required photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
6. Pay the Session 2 application fee online.
7. Submit the form and download the confirmation copy for your records.

Photo and signature uploads should be in JPG or JPEG format. The official image guidance states a photograph size of 50 KB to 100 KB and a signature size of 10 KB to 100 KB.

Details and Documents to Keep Ready Before Filling the Form

Most application mistakes happen because candidates start the form without keeping the required information ready. Before opening the form, keep the following items with you.

• Active mobile number and email ID that will remain valid throughout the admission process.
• Class 10 and Class 12 details, including board, year of passing, and subject-wise marks.
• Correct spelling of name, date of birth, and gender exactly as per official records.
• Preferred test city choices.
• Scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed size and format.
• A working online payment method for the application fee.

Some details are especially sensitive. The official instructions say that name, date of birth, mobile number, email address, gender, and test city preferences should be entered carefully because these are restricted fields later in the process.

BITSAT 2026 Exam Pattern and Syllabus Snapshot

BITSAT is a computer-based online admission test for First Degree programmes. The official BITS page describes it as an objective test based on the current NCERT syllabus.

The official BITSAT page also notes that registered candidates get access to a sample test through the admission website, which is useful for understanding the interface and time handling before the actual exam.

Test City Allotment, Slot Booking and Hall Ticket

After the Session 2 application closes, the next stages move quickly. Candidates should check the portal during each stage rather than waiting for a separate reminder.

• Test city allotment is scheduled for 12 May 2026.
• Slot booking is scheduled from 13 May 2026 to 15 May 2026.
• Hall ticket download starts on 20 May 2026 and remains available till the exam date.

Once you book your test date and slot, the official FAQs indicate that there is no later edit or change option for the submitted slot and date. Hall ticket details should therefore be checked carefully as soon as they are available.

What Happens After BITSAT Session 2

Session 2 registration is only one part of the full admission process. After the test, candidates need to keep following the BITS admission flow if they want to compete for a seat.

1. Appear for the test on the booked date and slot.
2. Download the BITSAT score card after the test and later check any updated moderated score if released.
3. Apply separately for admission to the First Degree programmes by uploading Class 12 marks and programme preferences when the admissions window opens.
4. Edit marks or preferences during the permitted window, if such a correction window is provided.
5. Track admission and waitlist iterations on the official portal and complete the next formalities within the deadline if offered a seat.

Missing these later stages can cost a seat even after a valid BITSAT score, so students should treat the exam and the admission preference submission as two connected but separate steps.
