SECL Recruitment 2026 Overview

SECL has announced a direct recruitment drive for 1055 regular Grade C technical and supervisory posts. The recruitment is for Mining Sirdar, Dy. Surveyor and Assistant Foreman (Electrical).

Eligibility Criteria for Mining Sirdar

For Mining Sirdar, the educational requirement is matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board, or a diploma or degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent approved qualification.

• Valid Mining Sirdarship Certificate of Competency, unrestricted, from DGMS under Coal Mines Regulations 2017 for both open cast and underground mines.
• Valid Gas Testing Certificate.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.

This post is a statutory mining post, so the competency and safety certificates matter just as much as the educational qualification.

Eligibility Criteria for Dy. Surveyor and Assistant Foreman

For Dy. Surveyor, the educational requirement is matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board, or a degree or diploma in Mining or Mine Surveying Engineering from a recognized institute.

• Dy. Surveyor applicants must hold a valid Surveyor's Certificate of Competency, unrestricted, under Coal Mines Regulations 2017 or another certificate that allows work as Surveyor in mines under the regulations.
• Assistant Foreman (Electrical) applicants must have matriculation or equivalent and a diploma in Electrical Engineering of at least 3 years duration from a government-recognized institute or a relevant higher qualification.

The Assistant Foreman post is electrical in nature, while the Dy. Surveyor post is tied to mine surveying competency, so candidates should not assume one qualification set works for both.

Age Limit and Relaxation

The minimum age is 18 years and the maximum age is 30 years as on 08 April 2026.

PwBD relaxation is specifically relevant to the Assistant Foreman (Electrical) post as indicated in published recruitment summaries. Candidates should check the detailed conditions before claiming the benefit.

Application Fee
