NEPA Recruitment 2026 overview

NEPA Limited, a Government of India undertaking under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, has invited applications for contractual engagement in multiple departments at Nepanagar. The recruitment is meant for experienced candidates across plant operations, maintenance, electrical, instrumentation, power house and paper machine functions.

The notification is useful for candidates looking for technical and industrial roles rather than a single generic graduate post. The 45 vacancies are spread across 24 post categories, so the first thing to check is whether your qualification and work experience match the specific department and post you want to apply for.

Important dates and application window

The official notice does not print a separate fixed calendar-style last date in the body of the advertisement. It clearly says the application must be sent within 7 days from the date of publication, so applying immediately is the safest approach.

Qualification and experience snapshot

The minimum qualification is not the same across all posts. The lowest qualification visible in the notification is 10th pass for some operator and assistant roles, but these posts still expect relevant work experience.

• 10th, 12th or ITI level roles: Supervisor-Cum-DCS Operator, Plant Operator, Junior Wet End Operator, Wet End Operator Assistant, Back Tender Assistant, Winder Operator Assistant, Electrician, Instrument Technician, DM Plant Operator and CHP/AHP Operator.

• Diploma and BE/B.Tech roles: Shift Engineer posts in Maintenance, Electrical and Instrument, Shift Incharge in Power House, Boiler DCS Operator, Turbine DCS Operator, Electrical Shift Engineer and some paper machine supervisory roles.

• Science-based roles: Senior Chemist requires M.Sc or B.Sc in Chemistry. De-inking Shift Incharge and Paper Machine Shift Incharge also accept certain science backgrounds with relevant experience.

• License-based roles: First Class Boiler Operator and Second Class Boiler Operator require the relevant boiler attendant license. Boiler DCS Operator also allows First Class Boiler Attendant qualification in the prescribed experience route.

For almost every post, relevant post-qualification experience is essential. Candidates should read the post-specific experience condition carefully before relying only on academic eligibility.

Age limit and reservation relaxation

The maximum age limit is 50 years for all the advertised posts. The notification states that age limit and post-qualification experience are to be counted as on 15 April 2026.

Relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, PwD and Ex-servicemen candidates is available as per Government directives, subject to submission of valid certificates issued by the competent authority. The advertisement also clarifies that OBC candidates falling under the creamy layer are not entitled to OBC-NCL relaxation and should apply under the unreserved category.

Salary, contract period and service conditions

The remuneration in this recruitment ranges from Rs.20,000 to Rs.50,000 per month on an all-inclusive basis, depending on the post. The highest pay in this notification is for Shift Incharge in the De-inking Plant at Rs.50,000 per month.

Selected candidates will be engaged initially for 11 months on contract. The contract may be extended depending on individual performance and the requirement of the company. The notification also says this engagement is purely temporary and contractual, and no claim for permanent appointment or extension can be made as a matter of right.

NEPA has also stated that company accommodation may be provided on normal rent basis subject to availability. Apart from the amount indicated against the post, no additional benefits are payable.

Selection process

Selection will be made through interview of shortlisted candidates. The interview may be conducted online or in physical mode depending on the company decision.

Mere fulfillment of the minimum qualification and experience does not guarantee an interview call. NEPA has reserved the right to raise the eligibility standard or shortlist candidates in order to limit the number of applicants called for interview. The notification also says the number of posts may be increased or decreased depending on company requirement.

2. Affix a recent passport-size photograph and sign the form.

3. Attach self-attested copies of educational qualifications, experience certificates, age proof, caste or PwD certificate if applicable, and NOC if employed in PSU, Central Government, State Government or semi-government service.

4. Submit the application by e-mail to careers@nepamills.nic.in.

5. Or send the complete application by registered or speed post to Senior Manager (P&A), Nepa Limited, Nepanagar, Dist - Burhanpur, Madhya Pradesh - 450221.

6. If sending by post, clearly mention the post name, serial number and Advertisement No.03/2026 on the envelope.

The notification says the completed application must reach within 7 days from the date of publication of the advertisement.

Documents required and important instructions

• Proof of date of birth.

• All qualification certificates and testimonials from matriculation onwards.

• Caste certificate or PwD proof, wherever applicable.

• Experience certificates issued by employer in support of the experience claimed.
